Glengarry Pen gold-plated nib therefore has better flexibility
The pen tip has a small upward curve. (It is deliberately made by the manufacturer and is not a defect.) When writing, the upper curve touches the paper, and there will be a sliding feeling without scratching the paper.
Make writing smoother, and you won’t even feel stuck when writing Chinese.
Basically, it requires little running-in and you can write smoothly. It has a pebble shape and better ink storage capacity.
It’s just that the pen tip has been out of the factory for nearly a hundred years, and there will inevitably be impurities attached to the gold-plated surface.
If you can clean the pen tip with a neutral detergent (hand soap) first, it can increase the ink storage capacity.
And make the pen tip write more smoothly
Examples of writing on photos: Paper One 100g photocopy paper JH osmanthus green ink
(The nib is an out-of-print antique, not a modern reproduction, while supplies last)
Use key points
1. There is no need to grill or scrub with a toothbrush before use. If there is grease on your hands, it is recommended to use a neutral detergent (hand lotion) to clean it.
2. There are horizontal or straight scratches on the front of some nibs. This was done by the original factory before it was released that year, so that the nib can be used immediately after purchase, rather than a defective product.
3. If the ink is stained with oil and causes poor ink adhesion or no flow (such as hand touch or Wax on the paper), just use soap to clean it, and then use it after washing and drying
4. Clean and dry the pen tip as soon as possible after use, and store it after air drying to avoid corrosion of the pen tip.
5. Slight rust on the pen body will not affect writing, but rust on the tip will.
6. Items that are more than 50 years old will inevitably have some traces of time. Sometimes there is some rust at the end of the nib, but it is not on the nib and will not affect the writing quality.
