Product Description

SHIPPING TO EU COUNTRIES IS AVAILABLE! CHAT WITH ME TO LEARN MORE, PLEASE! Vintage TOURIST PT-1 USSR CAMPING GASOLINE STOVE The replica of famous OPTIMUS 8R stove ABOUT ITEM'S ORIGIN (You can SKIP it!) I spent a lot of trips before with petroleum stoves an 1980-1990s years, some stoves brought me a problems, but most simple stoves like presented TURIST PT-1 and latest OGONJEK PT-2 were very reliable at any conditions. When Internet came to my home, I was surprised that absolutely all Soviet stoves were based at famous stoves, it were very close replicas of OPTIMUS 8R, JUWEL 34 & PHOEBUS 625! TURIST stove is very close to OPTIMUS 8R stove produced in 1950s, but all screw mounts are different type (metrical). One of those mounts is on the tank, thus you'll can not install extra fuel pump from OPTIMUS 8R on it. First TURIST stoves were most close to OPTIMUS 8R stoves, but later on Soviet manufacturers simplified technologies and quality was a bit reduced. From other hand you will see pot stands and heat shield made of stainless steel and chrome finished priming cup, better than original. Now I use butane camping stove, but at cold weather I prefer my old Tourist PT-1 gasoline stove... ITEM'S CONDITION: USED, SERVICED, TESTED, WORKING! You will find some signs of usage, steel case showed some rust and had been completely refinished. The stove is seller refurbished, I completely disassembled it, changed some parts (nozzle, filter/wick, all rubber parts at tank's lid and seal of adjustment valve was changed to asbestos-graphite) and adjusted them all together to be sure that the stove will exactly usable. I tested the device with burning (see item's photos and video, please) at my garage, good blue flame and good sound were received. I used pure white gasoline for test. Photos were taken after the test. All functions are available. The stove will arrive with absolutely dry tank with removed lid to provide safely shipping. TECHNICAL FEATURES * Brand: Red October plant (Moscow Machine Producing Unit after the name of V.V. Chernishevskiy). * Model: Tourist PT-1. * Type: gasoline camping stove, about 130 c.c. volume fuel tank. * Fuel: petrol / gasoline car / gasoline extraction / benzin car / gasoline aviation / Coleman fuel. * Special pin inside the nozzle for cleaning the channel without extra tools. * Power: it boil 2 liters of water during about 15 minutes, it is the equal of 1-1.2 kWt. * Working time: about 50-60 minutes at one portion of fuel. * Materials: main parts are made off brass, other (external box) are from steel. * Dimensions: 125x130x80mm. * Weight: about 750 gr (without fuel). * No any pump inside, which can malfunctions. * To prime the stove I recommend to use special "dry fuel" or pure alcohol... if you'll use the gasoline for pre-heating it will work too, but your hands will black after manipulations with the stove. * Safety valve (hidden into the lid of fuel tank) provides the defense from high pressure inside the tank. You can be strongly surprised if it will executed... it is the reason why you should not use the stove inside tents, woody houses etc. But this system prevents from total tank explosion. * Fuel tank have special shield which should reduce the heating of the tank when the pot is on the stove. Really I recommend to have the cup of cold water or to some snow to decrease the pressure if the flame will come "out of control". Just make the fuel tank more cold and all will OK. * Very compact, reliable and low weight device for travelers to wild places where no any butane tanks are available. * Works both in the crackling frost - 30 degrees Celsius and the biggest heat waves - plus 40 degrees Celsius * Made in 1960-1970s in Russia at Moscow city.
