There's a small story behind why we decided to represent this brand.
Late in 2024, just before a scheduled business trip to Korea, a sudden lockdown was announced. Fortunately, it was lifted just before our flight. After arriving safely in Korea, we found ourselves unexpectedly trapped inside a subway car. Protesters were flooding the station, pushing us so tightly that we could barely breathe and couldn't move. We felt like we were floating, suspended in the air. Our minds raced: "What do we do? Could this turn into a stampede?" We kept encouraging each other to stay calm, find ways to breathe, keep our heads up, and most importantly, stand firm to avoid falling. Thankfully, after a few stops, the overwhelming crowd disembarked at Yeouido Station. We were shaken, tears welling up.
A few stations later, we exited the subway and, by chance, discovered Hyejin's exhibition. The cats' languid and contented poses instantly calmed the tumultuous fear we had just experienced. We felt as though we had finally returned to solid ground after being utterly disoriented.
From the bottom of our hearts, we realized how wonderful it is to have cats in the world.
Hyejin's cat artworks are truly treasures.
And so, this unexpected collaboration came to be. 🤍

Hyejin's style blends modern sensibilities with traditional Korean techniques, developed through slow, deliberate creation and hand-painting.
We deeply appreciate the nostalgic, retro feel in his works, reminiscent of the folk painting scrolls from Korea's Joseon Dynasty.

Each stroke meticulously outlines incredibly fine details, creating works that invite prolonged admiration.
Creating art with traditional Korean craftsmanship requires immense patience. The artist delicately applies layers of color, building rich textures and deep, saturated hues.
Even tiny details like butterflies and grasshoppers are rendered with exquisite soul.

Each painting captures the cats sharing our space. The artist aims to convey a message through the cats' depiction of a "slow and steady" pace and their "quiet companionship."
Hyejin frequently holds solo exhibitions in Korea and has been creating art for over a decade.

Hyejin primarily uses his own cats as his muses, portraying them as both playful and sharp-eyed, capturing their "fiercely cute" and individualistic personalities. There's a captivating blend of conflict and harmony, a perfect fusion of tradition and modernity.
By incorporating contemporary artistic styles and characters, he depicts the lives and thoughts of animals within traditional art forms.
He utilizes Hanji (Korean paper) and the meticulous *Gongbi* (fine-line painting) technique, which are less common in the market. This paper lends a warm overall tone to the artwork, while the intricate *Gongbi* lines add exquisite detail.

This warm feeling, this unique pairing, allows contemporary painting styles to integrate seamlessly.
