The red-bellied tit is a small tit species endemic to Taiwan. It has a distinctive black and white head with gray wings and a dark rusty red chest and belly. Very similar to the Variegated Chickadee, but does not overlap in range and does not have any white on its ventral surface. They are gregarious and noisy, often emitting a high-pitched chirping sound when foraging in groups, and occasionally mingle with other species.
