After shaping it into a charmingly rounded teacup form, an engraved pattern inspired by Agapanthus flowers was carefully added. The entire vessel is fired with a rustic, matte glaze, and the engraved details are brought to life with overglaze enamel. Its round, lovely silhouette fits perfectly in your hands, the gentle curves nestling comfortably. The interior boasts a soft, light hue, allowing you to fully appreciate the true color of transparent beverages like green tea or black tea. It's also wonderful for drinks like cafe lattes or roasted green tea lattes. Consider using it as a slightly larger cup for serving ice cream with fruit, or even for individual portions of pudding. The process includes wedging the clay, shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, all done by hand in my home studio equipped with a small electric kiln and a potter's wheel. While mass production isn't possible, each item possesses its own unique character, offering a distinct charm that comes from its handmade nature. The item you will receive is the same as pictured. To ensure your table is protected, the base of the cup will be carefully sanded. I continuously explore different clays and glazes, seeking harmonious combinations. This creative process results in a diverse collection of ceramics, each unique in both color and form. In some cases, colors may seep into crazing, or moisture may appear on the surface. To address this, we apply a sealant to all our ceramic tableware before shipping, so no pre-treatment is necessary before your first use. This sealing process takes 2-3 days, which is why we allow up to 5 days for shipping after your order is placed. If you prefer not to have the sealant applied, please inform us at the time of purchase. - Due to the characteristics of the glaze, the color may appear lighter and whiter under natural daylight or white light, and exhibit more reddish or yellowish tones under evening light or warm-toned illumination. - Cutlery shown in the product images is not included. - We strive to photograph and edit our product images to be as true to life as possible.
