**A Gentle Reminder:**
We are a professional perfumery studio, guided by expert perfumers. Crafting a bespoke fragrance requires patience and a discerning approach; this is not a superficial "influencer-style" workshop. While the atmosphere is relaxed, a playful or unserious mindset is not suitable. Please register only if you are genuinely committed to creating a unique and personal scent. 🏆🏆
**** After registering, please log in to Pinkoi the following day to check for messages. We will send you the class notification. ****
**** Cultural Vouchers can be used. ****
**** If you register as a single participant, you may be grouped with another student. If you prefer a private, one-on-one session, please select the "two-person" registration option. ****
**** Our aim is to guide students with no prior experience in creating a truly wearable, signature fragrance they'll love to wear daily. We don't simply provide ingredients for self-exploration. Our small class sizes ensure personalized guidance, allowing the instructor to lead you step-by-step in discovering your desired scent and crafting your personal signature perfume. ****
**** If you're fascinated by perfumes but find fragrance notes like violet, iris, mimosa, galbanum (the signature note of Chanel No. 19), oakmoss, tonka bean, or clary sage to be an enigma, this class is perfect for you. You'll leave with a newfound understanding, no longer viewing fragrance pyramids as indecipherable texts. ****
**** If you've previously experimented with essential oils to create perfumes, only to find they don't quite capture the essence of commercial fragrances, this class will provide the clarity you seek. ****
**** The workshop is approximately 3 hours long. ****
**** We also offer an in-depth 4-hour perfumery course: ****

**** The ingredients we use are genuine perfumery materials, not unverified compounded fragrances! ****

**Class Content:**
If you have a passion for perfumery, this is a workshop you won't want to miss. We provide **70 types** of natural essential oils and absolutes, including precious, professional perfumery ingredients such as Jasmine, Rose Absolute, Violet Leaf, Oakmoss, Tonka Bean, and Labdanum. Additionally, we offer **20 types** of synthetic aroma chemicals/isolates, including Hedione, Iso E Super, Galaxolide, Florol, Damascone Beta, and Calone. During the class, the instructor will explain the differences and olfactory effects of natural and synthetic ingredients, allowing you to decide whether to incorporate synthetics. Using synthetic materials can help achieve the light, transparent, and radiant qualities characteristic of commercial perfumes.
In this approximately **3-hour** workshop, you will be guided by the instructor to personally create your own **30ml** signature fragrance. You'll learn about the olfactory pyramid of essential oils and perfumes, as well as the art and techniques of perfumery (distinct from massage oils or scented candles – perfumery is the most advanced and esteemed discipline within scent creation). This class will save you considerable time and effort compared to self-discovery.

【Bergamot: The Warm and Cultured Gentleman】
During perfumery workshops with larger groups, a common scene unfolds: as students begin their work, a gentle chaos ensues, occasionally punctuated by a student calling out, "Teacher, where is the bergamot?"
At such moments, I calmly reply, "Today, we only have bergamot, no 'qian'..." (A knowing smile...)
Among citrus essential oils, Bergamot stands out as an anomaly. Most citrus oils derive their characteristic notes from terpenes, lending them uplifting and invigorating properties, like Sweet Orange, Lemon, and Grapefruit. Bergamot, however, is distinguished by its primary component: esters. Esters are aromatic compounds associated with warmth, possessing the ability to soothe the mind and uplift emotions. Consequently, Bergamot essential oil is suitable for use before sleep, and when blended with True Lavender essential oil, its sleep-promoting effects are enhanced. Diffusing Bergamot essential oil at your desk during work can also invigorate the spirit and stabilize emotions, often earning praise from colleagues.
Unlike other bright citrus essential oils, Bergamot possesses a subtle depth and sophistication. It's the warm, cultured gentleman of the essential oil world, a scent widely appreciated. It is also one of the most crucial ingredients in perfumery. Its primary cultivation regions are in Southern Europe, along the Mediterranean coast, with Italy, Southern France, and Turkey being significant producers.
Regarding Bergamot varieties, there are currently two prevailing theories. The book "The Complete Book of Essential Oils" by Ken's Garden states that Bergamot is a hybrid of Lemon and Bitter Orange, with the scientific name *Citrus bergamia*. However, in "The Aromatic Collector" by Dominique Baudoux (published by JMK), it is suggested that Bergamot arises from grafting lemon branches onto a bitter orange tree. Baudoux refers to Bergamot as a "new variety," yet grafting typically does not produce a new species. This implies that the resulting Bergamot is not a distinct new species, and even sexual reproduction using seeds would not yield identical Bergamot fruits. Nevertheless, Baudoux, as Firmenich's head of natural ingredient procurement who personally sources raw materials from production sites, likely possesses considerable authority.
