This is a bracelet connecting old Tibetan turquoise, ancient agate, old Chin silver & old Orissa brass, multi-colored white hearts, and old Indian silver charms.
The old Tibetan turquoise pieces are approximately 100 to 200 years old (they might be even older). They were acquired from a collector in Tibet. Turquoise is also known as a "Fallen Skystone." Since ancient times, it has been revered as a sacred stone in various cultures and is sometimes used medicinally in Tibet. It is one of the stones that has been passed down and worn for thousands of years.
Its bent, curved shape and deep green hue are captivating!
(Turquoise dimensions: 2cm length, 1cm width, 0.6cm thickness)
Accented with milky, semi-transparent ancient agate featuring white striations. These pieces were unearthed in regions such as Pakistan and India along the Indus River, dating back approximately 2000 years. They possess beautiful banding and a lustrous finish.
The plump, pot-shaped silver beads next to the old Tibetan turquoise are exceptionally rare old Chin silver. These are heirloom pieces from around the 18th-19th century, originating from Burma. They were traditionally used by Chin women for necklaces and exhibit unique signs of wear and endearing marks.
Their substantial weight and presence are incomparable to modern silver (though there are stylish modern pieces...). These antique beads have seen a significant price increase in recent years.
The beads with a dull golden hue and the anchor-like charm are made of old Orissa brass. These are old brass beads from India.
These particular beads are very difficult to obtain nowadays and are quite rare! The charm near the clasp is also an old piece from India.
The red beads are antique beads known as White Hearts. They are called this because the core (heart) of the bead is white.
These are Venetian beads from around the 19th-20th century.
This is a richly expressive collection of White Hearts, featuring a variety of colors such as gold-red, blood-red, amber, and vermilion!
Mixed types like this are becoming increasingly hard to find.
One side features a single strand, while the other has a double strand of smaller White Hearts.
(White Heart bead dimensions: 3.5-4.5mm diameter - single strand portion)
The clasp is adorned with an antique Indian silver charm, crafted between the 19th and early 20th century.
Wearing it frequently will likely develop a unique patina over time.
The central motif depicts the deity Shiva (sometimes referred to as Bel).
(Indian silver charm dimensions: 2cm length, 1.4cm width - including the loop)
The clasp and the small intervening silver beads are Karen silver.
