As fresh flowers were commonly used as head adornments at the time, and fresh flowers have a limited lifespan, velvet flowers were developed to be unaffected by time. Traditional velvet flowers are made with silk threads and brass wires, deriving their name from a homophone for "glory and prosperity." - Yinyou Cultural and Creative's Velvet Flowers | Yinyou Cultural and Creative provides instruction using local materials such as rayon silk threads and copper wires, allowing students who love velvet flowers to easily purchase materials for further creation. The production process consists of seven steps.
