As fresh flowers were often used as hair adornments at the time, but had a limited lifespan, velvet flowers were developed to be unaffected by time. Traditional velvet flowers are made with silk threads and brass wires, with the name derived from a homophone for "glory and wealth." - Yinyou Cultural and Creative's Velvet Flowers | Yinyou Cultural and Creative teaches with locally sourced materials like rayon threads and copper wires, allowing students who love velvet flowers to easily purchase materials for further creation. The production process involves seven steps.
