The "Rose Brooch" is actually mini-rose sized. The "Peony Corsage" is actually a larger rose size. Finally, the "Large Peony Corsage" is born! The "Peony Corsage" measures approximately 7cm (height) x 7cm (width) x 3.5cm (depth) (excluding the clasp), but we've received feedback that some find it "too small." Responding to the voice of (perhaps) one person who indicated on an SNS survey in March 2022 that they wanted to see a 10cm peony, the shop owner decided to fulfill that wish.^^ This new piece measures approximately 12cm in diameter and about 5cm in height. While we call it "large-flowered" in the context of our existing line, it truly reflects the size of a real peony bloom. As shown in the first image, it's a size that fits beautifully as a single bloom on a tray sized for an adult woman's hand. The previous "Peony Corsage" is shown in images 7-8. Three of those would fit on the same hand-sized tray...! The petals are made of acrylic beads, meticulously finished with a matte texture, just like our previous floral pieces. They possess a beautiful quality, appearing to glow from within like a real flower. Transparent and shapely acrylic resin petals are individually hand-sewn onto felt to create the flower form. Although we intended to simply make the "Large Peony Corsage" slightly bigger using the same crafting method, the path to completion was not straightforward. The most challenging part was selecting the base material. The felt used for the "Rose Brooch" and "Peony Corsage" could not maintain the shape when lifted after sewing the petals and stamens. We finally achieved the desired form by switching to a high-quality, firm felt specifically designed for bead embroidery. Similar to our previous rose brooches and peony corsages, a stiffener is attached to the back of the felt with the sewn petals, and this is then covered with a piece of felt to which the brooch pin is attached. This size might be a departure for Heart Bouquet, as many of our Japanese customers tend to prefer smaller items.
