Fine-grained white clay that enhances the color of the glaze.
A distinctive glaze featuring white crystals dancing on a cool, matte blue-green surface.
This small hot water cup is crafted by combining these elements.
This glaze is rich in character, its appearance changing with the thickness of the glaze application and firing temperature.
In this particular firing, by setting the firing temperature slightly higher than usual, the glaze melted and flowed on the inside, creating deep indigo hues in places.
Furthermore, areas with thicker and thinner glaze applications create flowing patterns, presenting scenery akin to snowy fields or starry skies.
Its plump, rounded, and charming form fits comfortably in the hands, the curves of the vessel conforming to your palm when held with both hands.
As the color is close to white, even transparent beverages like sencha or hojicha can be enjoyed, allowing their natural colors to be appreciated.
Its slightly smaller size also makes it suitable for use as a sake cup for enjoying Japanese sake.
Please enjoy it with your favorite beverage.
The creation process is entirely done by hand, from clay kneading to forming, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, using a small electric kiln and electric potter's wheel at home.
While mass production is not possible, each piece has its own unique expression, allowing you to enjoy the charm that comes from handmade craftsmanship.
The item you receive will be the same as pictured.
The base of the cup has been sanded to minimize scratching your table.
We create various ceramic pieces in different colors and shapes, exploring the best combinations of glazes and clays.
It's impossible to create identical pieces; each item is unique, though they may appear similar.
We would be delighted if you find one that you love.
We hope you can enjoy the scenery woven by clay and glaze as a touch of color in your daily life.

*Important Notes on Purchase and Use*
・Due to the porous nature of pottery, it may absorb water, and in some cases, the color may seep into the crazing or moisture may seep through.
For this reason, we apply a watertight sealant for tableware to our products before shipping, so there is no need for initial soaking (mezome).
The watertight treatment requires 2-3 days, which is why we set the shipping period to 5 days from the order date.
If you do not require the watertight treatment, please let us know at the time of purchase.
・Due to the color characteristics of the glaze, it may appear whiter under morning light or white light, and may show more reddish or yellowish tones under evening light or warm-toned lighting.
・Cutlery shown in the product images is not included.
・We strive to photograph and edit product images to be as true to the actual product as possible, but please be aware that colors may appear differently depending on your monitor environment and lighting conditions.
・As we also sell on other sites, in the rare event of overlapping purchases, priority will be given to the customer who completes the purchase process first. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
・While you can use it in a microwave (for warming) and dishwasher, the vibrations from microwaves and the spray of hot water at high temperatures may accelerate deterioration. We kindly ask that you refrain from using them if possible.
・Please refrain from using in an oven or over direct heat.
・After use, please wash thoroughly and ensure it is completely dry before storing it in your cupboard to prevent stains and mold.
