Hand-woven Linen Stole [Seifu *03]
Materials: 97% Linen, 3% Silk
Size: Approx. 16 inches x 67 inches (excluding 2-inch fringe)
This medium-sized stole is hand-woven using the finest 120-count linen yarn, the thinnest available, sourced from a Kyoto yarn wholesaler. The yarn is dyed in various colors before being woven. It is so delicately thin that it is almost sheer, with a crisp yet supple feel that drapes effortlessly and gently against the body, free from stiffness or bulk.
Woven with three shades of green and white linen yarn, the pattern and colors subtly shift between the center and edges, offering a versatile aesthetic that changes depending on how you wear it.
The exceptionally fine ramie linen yarn, half the thickness of standard linen yarn used in hand-weaving, is characterized by its minimal fuzz and subtle sheen. With a meticulous warp density of 500 threads, it achieves a remarkably supple texture. Linen stoles boast superior absorbency, moisture-wicking, and quick-drying properties compared to cotton, ensuring a dry and refreshing feel against the skin. They are perfect for year-round wear, from spring through autumn.
*Please note that creases may form during shipping. A light steam iron will restore its crispness.
