Hand-woven Linen Stole 【Ryufu*04】
Material: 90% Linen, 10% Silk
Size: Approx. 35cm (57cm) x 192cm (excluding 6cm fringe)
This stole is meticulously hand-woven using the finest 120-count linen yarn, the thinnest available, sourced from a Kyoto textile wholesaler. The yarn is dyed in various colors from a bleached thread, then woven by hand. Its translucent thinness and slightly crinkled texture create a soft, lightweight drape that gently conforms to the body.
The warp threads are set wide, with tightly twisted silk yarn woven at regular intervals. This technique creates vertical corduroy-like texture, resulting in a conveniently narrow width. The design features refreshing random stripes in five colors of linen yarn.
The ultra-fine ramie linen yarn, half the thickness of standard linen yarn used in hand-weaving, is characterized by its minimal fuzz and lustrous sheen. With a total of 720 warp threads, woven with fine density, it offers an exceptionally supple feel. Linen stoles boast superior absorbency, moisture-wicking, and quick-drying properties compared to cotton, ensuring a dry and comfortable sensation against the skin. This makes them perfect for year-round wear, from spring through autumn.
