Nanbu tekki Gen Kuzumaki's handmade cast iron kettle futon shape minori 1.5L - Teapots & Teacups - Other Metals

Product Description

※Due to the hand-applied lacquer firing process performed by artisans, individual color variations may occur. ●The Authentic Beauty and Craftsmanship of a Japan Folk Crafts Museum Exhibition Selection This iron kettle was selected for the 2018 Japan Folk Crafts Museum exhibition. Handcrafted by Gen Kuzumaki of Gurendo, it brings the warmth and aesthetic sensibility of folk crafts into daily life. It is a masterpiece imbued with the artisan's passion. ●「Minori」:Shaping Autumn's Bounty In Japanese 「minori」 refers to well-grown fruit or ears of rice. This iron kettle was named to evoke that image. Its warm design embodies the richness of the autumn harvest. ●A fusion of exquisite design and practicality, down to the finest detail. The beautiful texture of the cast surface blends the aesthetic appeal of craftsmanship with the practicality of an everyday item. ●Artistry in the 「Bug-Eaten」 Hole Work The lid handle's 「bug-eaten」 design expresses 「wabi-sabi」. Every detail is beautiful. ●Commitment to Usability:Twisted Handles The twisted design of the handles provides a comfortable grip. They combine visual appeal with a comfortable grip. ●Traditional technique: oxide coating finish using a kiln. It is compatible with both gas and IH cookers and is suitable for any household. The traditional kiln-firing technique creates an "oxide coating finish" that allows iron to be thoroughly extracted. It is compatible with both gas and IH cookers and fits into modern lifestyles. When using a 200V IH cooker, avoid high heat, as it may cause the bottom to deform or develop holes. Please use medium heat or lower. ●Boil plenty yet stay light! It has a spacious 1.5L capacity and a lightweight design. It is crafted with artisan skill for a thin profile. ●Beauty and Health for Every Day This iron kettle, meticulously handcrafted one by one by Mr. Gen Kuzumaki of Guren-do, is more than just a tool for boiling water. When boiling water, iron ions released from the kettle dissolve into the water. This provides a natural and easy way to supplement your iron intake. The habit of drinking warm plain water warms the body and creates a sense of mental ease. ●Artist Profile:Gen Kuzumaki Born in Morioka City in 1978. 2005:Joined Nambu Ironware Sales Co., Ltd. , Kozan Workshop, and apprenticed under the third-generation Kozan, Maeda Tomoyuki. 2015:Left the Kozan Workshop and established the independent Nambu Ironkettle Guren-do. 2016:Selected for the Japan Folk Crafts Museum Exhibition for the Small Moonlight Kasumi. 2017:Received the Encouragement Award at the Japan Folk Crafts Museum Exhibition for the piece titled "Hiyori." 2018:Selected for the Japan Folk Crafts Museum Exhibition (Futon-shaped Kasumi Large and Futon-shaped Kanbun Large). 2019:Received the Encouragement Award at the Japan Folk Crafts Museum Exhibition (Hibiki). 2021:Selected for the Japan Folk Crafts Museum Exhibition (Hibiki Small). 2022:Selected for the Japan Folk Crafts Museum Exhibition (Urara). 2023:Selected for the Japan Folk Crafts Museum Exhibition (Futon-shaped Kasumi Small).
