One cannot choose their initial destiny. Each cat has a different fate and story, perhaps a stray, perhaps they once had a name. These cats I've encountered, because I was part of a chapter in their lives, I've drawn what I felt and thought into their very own 'Easter Egg Planet'. - - - Pearl was a foster cat I took in during August 2022. She appeared in the alleyway in front of my mother's house. She was very affectionate, coming right up to people. Some neighbors found her bothersome and tried to scare her away by banging pots and pans. But instead of being scared off, she just stayed put. I really don't know where she came from? She was so bold. 😮 My mother saw this and called me. I thought to myself, if I move slowly, and she's still there, I'll take her in. 🤔 (This was less than two days after I had rehomed my previous cat.) When I arrived, she had been taken to the home of a kind elderly lady who loved cats. The lady was holding her, and she was happily enjoying being petted. After bringing her home, I discovered she was extremely talkative. She'd meow if you turned around, meow if you took a couple of steps; her voice was heard constantly. 🙉 Besides that, she was a voracious eater, always hungry. However, her digestive system wasn't great at the time, so we fed her at fixed times and in controlled portions. Thinking she could still fit more, she not only rummaged through the trash but also chewed open plastic bags to get to the food inside. One time, she even latched onto food I was holding and wouldn't let go, letting out a low growl and becoming quite fierce. She even stole beef slices from the table that were meant for hot pot. 🤣 During this period, my sister's friend asked her to care for three kittens. I lived through the chaotic life of looking after four cats simultaneously. As time went on, Pearl gradually became calmer, no longer gobbling her food. She also bonded with the kittens, and they chased each other around every day, creating a lively scene. As the kittens were one by one adopted into new homes, Pearl, while sleeping on a gentle and kind friend, fell in love at first sleep and was fortunately chosen to be adopted. 💓 Pearl is a dark tabby cat. Her markings are like little beads, resembling black pearls. Her full name was actually Black Pearl, so I drew a string of black pearl necklaces for her to play with. 🖤 Above and below the Easter egg are pearl oyster boxes, symbolizing where pearls are found. The alternating red and white sections represent the chewed-up red and white plastic bags. The three cat heads are her former companions. The fourth cat head is Mimi Duck. Mimi Duck arrived when Pearl was nearing her departure for her new home. They had a brief encounter. As for the illustration of "Nya-zilla" amidst the high-rise buildings on the Easter egg, it's because shortly after Pearl moved to her new home, she destroyed a LEGO castle that her owner had painstakingly protected. 😂😂😂 These memories are all etched into this Easter egg. Indeed, unforgettable memories become inspiration for my art. I'm grateful for Pearl, who once gave me a headache, and has now become someone else's plump and precious darling. 🥰
