This process fixes a thin, crimson-colored film onto the copper's surface. The exact temperature and timing are still being refined, resulting in subtle variations... but these imperfections lend a wonderful atmosphere reminiscent of autumn leaves. As you can see in the images, each piece boasts a unique hue. Being made of brass, you can also look forward to its natural patina developing into a antique gold color over time. The copper's reddish tone is achieved through the cuprite red technique, which creates a surface film, and this also evolves with age. (Note: This film may chip or peel due to scratches or wear.)
