Poe divination (擲杯) is a traditional ritual in which the seeker throws two little wooden pieces on the floor in an attempt to gain insight into a question. Often seen in Taiwanese temples and occasionally at home, this envisions method has 3 different outcomes:⠀
1. One flat-side-up, the other rounded-side-up: shows that the gods approve of the proposed plan.⠀
2. Both flat-side-ups: You need to cast the blocks again or make your question clearer.⠀
3. Both rounded-side-up means that the deities do not approve of the inquired matter.⠀
