Product Description

BARDUR Pottery Studio | Gift Box Collection Now Available Capturing the essence of time with the warmth of handmade craftsmanship. Each teacup is fired individually by artisans, with textures like stardust falling – no two are exactly alike. The design, featuring a soft satin lining and a square gift box, adds an elegant touch to the ceramic's texture. During the gifting season, choose a gift filled with warmth, let the feel of the piece become part of your sentiment. 🫖 The BARDUR Gift Box Collection is officially launched. About Wood Firing 'Wood firing' is a traditional kiln firing method, reaching temperatures above 1200 degrees Celsius using wood fuel. It leaves "fire marks" naturally imprinted on the ceramic by the direct flames, and the ash from the burning wood creates rich, warm colors and varied textures that electric or gas kilns cannot achieve. Compared to regular electric or gas kilns, the entire wood firing process—from stacking the kiln, ignition, to sealing and cooling—takes approximately 8-10 days. Furthermore, the intense kiln pressure, along with factors like humidity, wood dryness, the speed of stoking, and kiln placement, can all influence the success or failure of a piece, leading to a higher breakage rate. Experienced wood-firing artisans meticulously consider the kiln's airflow when stacking. They plan the placement of pieces of varying sizes, estimate the flame path, determine the stoking of wood and charcoal, and control the firing temperature. Every step requires utmost focus to achieve a perfect wood-fired piece. Place of Origin: Hualien, Taiwan Notes 1. All pieces are handcrafted; textures and colors may vary. Computer screen displays may also differ. 2. Surface imperfections such as unevenness, micro-bubbles, variations in glaze thickness, or crackled textures are normal characteristics of handmade items and not defects. 3. Each piece is stamped with the Mingya Kiln seal or hand-carved by the artist (Mr. Cai Rongzong, Ms. Zhong Xihui). 4. Before first use, please wash with a sponge, mild detergent, and water. Do not heat directly over an open flame, and avoid extreme temperature changes. Microwave, oven, and electric cooker safe. 5. All items are photographed in kind. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us via private message, and we will respond as soon as possible!! 6.
