About the work
This piece, which uses Japanese paper for coloring, was created using a somewhat unusual technique of "hand-torn and cut Japanese paper and pasting it onto a three-dimensional object."
The carnation that the white-eye is holding in its mouth is an artificial flower made from Japanese paper, with each petal cut out of the paper and then assembled.
Material:
[Bird] Japanese paper, resin, varnish, wooden base
[Carnation] Japanese paper, wire, varnish
Finished with a water-resistant varnish.
◌"Bird" is lightweight and durable.
*Please be gentle when bending the petals and leaves of the carnation as they may get creased if bent too forcefully.
[Notes on use]
To ensure long-term use, please wipe off water as soon as possible if it gets wet.
Also, store the product away from direct sunlight and high temperatures.
