[Fair trade, ethical products] This hand-woven dress features an impressive kasuri dyed (ikat) pattern. The plant dyeing and weaving was done by Karen women living in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Currently, the technique of ikat dyeing is in danger of being lost even more than the weaving technique, making it a very valuable handicraft. This is a loose fitting garment that is very comfortable to wear. Slits have been added to the hem to ensure ease of movement. It's moderately thick, so you can wear it by itself, or you can layer it with a tank top, long sleeves, pants, etc. to enjoy a layered look all year round. The tunic style has a V-neck at the front and back, so your back will look neat and beautiful. These clothes, full of the charm of handmade items, are perfect as gifts. The brown color of the kasuri-dyed parts is dyed using fermented ebony fruit. [How to care for plant-dyed and hand-woven products] Compared to chemical dyes, vegetable dyed products are less resistant to washing and sunlight, and the color will change with use. Please pay attention to the following points when caring for and using the products. Color transfer or fading may occur due to friction or getting wet. Please be careful of color transfer when wearing or using light-colored clothing or bags. If you wear it with dark-colored clothing or bags, color transfer will be less noticeable. Dark colors in particular tend to fade easily, so we recommend washing it once before wearing it. We also recommend washing by hand separately from other clothes. If you use a washing machine, use a neutral detergent, place in a laundry net, wash separately from other clothes on a gentle cycle. However, washing in a washing machine may cause damage to the fabric and cause color fading. Avoid using a dryer and hang to dry in the shade. -About gluing. In the case of fabric products, threads may be used that have been starched with rice, but the starch will usually come off after washing twice.
