【Description of item】
From the town of Sakai Tenugui in Osaka, we have made a Tenugui with a small pattern that has been passed down from generation to generation since the dyeing factory was founded.
Unlike the pouring dyeing, which is called pouring dyeing, the technique called roll printing is used.
It is dyed by a unique technique called "back through" created by the predecessor.
[Dyeing technique]
This is an original tenugui dyed with a unique technique called "back through" developed by Takeno Dyeing's predecessor.
"Back-through" is a dyeing technique that allows the dye to penetrate to the back of the fabric, and is a technique unique to Takeno Dyeing that evolved from the conventional roll printing technique.
* Everything is made by hand, so please understand that each piece has a slightly different color and shape.
[Material]
I chose a fabric that is softer and more textured the more I use it, so that I can enjoy the unique texture of Japanese bleached cloth. Since it is a little thicker than a normal towel, it has higher absorbency and absorbs moisture well. Besides, it dries quickly and keeps it clean.
[Tsu na gu Komon pattern towel]
A hand-traditional small pattern that has been passed down from generation to generation since its establishment.
We have created a tenugui with no front and back using the "back-through" technology developed by Takeno Dyeing's predecessor.
While giving a feeling of good old Japanese tradition, it has a modern appearance with a selection of unique colors.
Lightly color various scenes in your daily life, outfits, and gifts. By all means, a special one.
