It has high absorbency, making it difficult to dry completely if washed with water. Residual moisture inside the cushion core can easily lead to mold and odor issues. Therefore, it's best not to wash memory foam cores. If there are stains, spot clean only the affected area; there's no need to wash the entire cushion.
