The price of white duck down has doubled. Whether to revive this down jacket was a decision that troubled us for a long time. Ultimately, we decided to see this through to completion. This is also because last year, we only released the long version in white and grey. The short version and black colorway, which we longed for, never officially met you. We were unwilling to let it be a casualty of cost. This year, we've made some optimizations to the details. The outer fabric has been upgraded to a more textured (and higher-priced) cotton-spandex with a creased texture. The back of the long version still features a slit (for ease of movement). The back of the short version does not have a slit (to avoid looking like a certain cartoon duck). The down filling amount will not be reduced due to the rising price of white duck down. The short version, due to its length, has a filling of 290g. The long version has 300g. - 2017 [About the Details] Many "cotton quilt" style down jackets inherently have a bulky appearance. To address this, we put significant effort into the pattern design. The result is a garment that retains the playful silhouette of a cotton quilt while shedding the bulk and exaggeration. It's actually very practical. We've added a hand-stitched button design for better fastening. (Sewing buttons by hand is very time-consuming; the artisan says each one takes about an hour.) We use multiple strands of thread to ensure the durability of the handmade buttons. However, as the down jacket is very thick, please be careful when putting it on and taking it off; do not pull forcefully. The sleeves are intentionally designed with wider cuffs because they can be cuffed. Rolling up the sleeves and showing the trim also looks fantastic. The extended and widened belt is another added detail; tying the belt creates a completely different feel than wearing it untied. Tying the belt accentuates your proportions and looks effortlessly chic. [Warmth for Him] When we had sample pieces, several close male friends came to the studio to bring us afternoon tea. We had them try them on, and the results were astonishing: they looked incredibly good on them too!
