【Handmade in Japan】 Bunkobon Book Cover A6 Notebook Cover Navy

Thank you for visiting ︎☺︎ This is a book cover for Bunkobon (Japanese paperback) sized books, crafted from the flesh side of bridle leather sourced from the UK. It's a free-type cover that allows for thickness adjustment, comfortably fitting books up to approximately 30mm thick. Please note that it is not compatible with larger Bunkobon sizes (like Hayakawa Bunko). If you have a different size in mind than what's currently available, please feel free to inquire in the comments section. We can accommodate sizes such as Shinsho, Hayakawa Bunko, Shiroku, and A5. ■ Material We use the flesh side of bridle leather from Thomas Ware & Sons, a renowned tannery established in Bristol, UK, in 1840, boasting over 170 years of history. Bridle leather was originally created for equestrian use and is exceptionally robust. It gains its strength and durability from the application of waxes like beeswax, tallow, and vegetable oils. The white powder on the leather's surface is the wax that has surfaced and solidified, known as "Bloom," a hallmark of bridle leather. The Bloom will naturally fade with use, but if it's bothersome, you can gently brush it off or wipe it with a dry cloth. Due to the use of sturdy bridle leather, the texture is moderately firm yet supple. You can enjoy the process of it gradually molding to your touch. For the hand-stitching thread, we use 100% natural linen waxed thread from the Taiwanese brand "Rikka." Rikka's threads meet the non-toxic and non-fading requirements of SGS, one of the world's largest testing institutions, ensuring high quality. ■ Color Navy ■ Size When unfolded: Height 165mm × Width 334mm ■ Please Note As leather is a natural material, it may have inherent scratches or wrinkles.
