|░ Reasons to Love Jadeite ░|
"People nurture jade for three years, and jade nurtures people for a lifetime."
Crystals have powerful energy fields, but they require regular de-magrification. Jadeite is a natural hard jade with a warm and gentle nature. While its energy field may not be as strong as a crystal's, jadeite's inherent energy is extremely clean and pure, producing only beneficial effects and dispelling negative energy.
Currently, over 40 minerals have been discovered in jadeite. Its chemical composition is Sodium Aluminum Silicate—NaAI〔Si2 O6〕, often containing trace elements like Calcium (Ca), Chromium (Cr), Nickel (Ni), Manganese (Mn), Magnesium (Mg), and Iron (Fe).
White: Basically contains no impurities.
Red: Contains trivalent iron. [2]
Black: Contains more than 2% chromium.
Green: Contains more than 2% chromium and divalent iron.
Yellow: Contains iron elements.
Purple: Contains manganese elements.
Blue: Basically the same as green, but rarer than other colors.
Trace element "Calcium" (Ca) is the most abundant mineral in the human body, mainly distributed in bones and teeth, with its presence also in blood and muscles. Calcium is also an important regulator of human life activities. At all stages of growth and development, from childhood to adulthood and old age, it shoulders crucial physiological functions. Calcium is an indispensable macro-mineral essential for maintaining human health and longevity.
Trace element "Chromium" (Cr) is of considerable importance for maintaining normal physiological functions. It can prevent cardiovascular diseases and help regulate blood sugar. The human body cannot synthesize it independently; it must be absorbed through natural foods or supplements. For type 2 diabetes patients, it can increase insulin sensitivity. For overweight individuals, it aids in controlling cholesterol and blood sugar. Those under high stress lose chromium faster than average, making it particularly necessary for these three groups.
Trace element "Nickel" (Ni) is an indispensable trace element for the human body. Adult bodies contain approximately 6-10 mg of nickel, primarily found in the brain and liver. Nickel is absorbed in the human intestines, and unabsorbed nickel is mostly excreted through feces. Only 10-20% of nickel from food is absorbed by the body.
Trace element "Manganese" (Mn) is another type of trace element that protects the body. Jadeite also contains this element. Long-term wear of jadeite can promote blood circulation, accelerate metabolism, alleviate aging, and prevent certain age-related diseases.
Trace element "Magnesium" (Mg) is also a macro-mineral that the human body cannot lack. Like calcium, magnesium is a necessary nutrient for normal bone growth. Sufficient magnesium levels can effectively regulate calcium and maintain normal neuromuscular function, with both working synergistically. Magnesium can inhibit platelet aggregation; therefore, deficiency may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, magnesium deficiency can lead to chronic inflammation in the body and is associated with the occurrence of many chronic diseases, especially mortality from cardiovascular diseases. Some studies have shown that people who drink hard water, with relatively higher calcium and magnesium content in the water, have a lower mortality rate from cardiovascular diseases. Thus, normal blood magnesium levels are associated with a lower risk of developing atherosclerosis.
Trace element "Iron" (Fe) helps enzymes perform biochemical reactions and aids metabolism, making it one of the "essential trace elements" for the human body. Adult bodies typically contain 3-5 grams of iron, with six to seven-tenths distributed in red blood cells. Other cells also require iron to function smoothly.
Medical research reveals that jadeite possesses powerful therapeutic properties. Long-term wear of jadeite can not only prevent diseases but also alleviate or even treat certain conditions.
Treating Chest Tightness: Some individuals with weaker constitutions occasionally experience chest tightness. Wearing a jadeite pendant can help treat common chest tightness. The jadeite pendant emits energy into the "Long Han" and "Shen Fu" acupoints on the chest. Through continuous massage, it can achieve a lasting effect.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory: In TCM, jadeite has the efficacy of "clearing middle-warmed heat, moistening the heart and lungs, nourishing hair, strengthening the five organs, calming the spirit, promoting blood circulation, and improving eyesight."
Regularly wearing jadeite jewelry allows its trace elements to be absorbed by the skin, aiding in the coordination and balance of physiological functions in the body's organs.
Nourishing the Skin: Jadeite ornaments, whether necklaces, earrings, or bracelets, can be in direct contact with the skin. The mineral elements in jadeite enter the body through this contact, nourishing women's skin and making them appear fairer and more radiant.
Cooling Down: Jadeite's cool characteristic is comforting and helps relieve summer heat. In the Tang Dynasty, during summer, Yang Guifei would hold jade in her mouth to cool down. Since then, summer has become a cool season. Jade pillows, bracelets, beds, and pendants all serve to relieve heat.
The above are evidence-based reasons for jadeite. Another non-evidence-based reason is that when feeling down or stressed, looking at jadeite inexplicably has a mood-healing effect, providing a sense of comfort.
