This is a wool hat embroidered with vintage Uzbek Suzani. Suzani is an embroidered fabric that has been handed down from generation to generation among the nomads of Central Asia. It is mainly made in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and other regions. The word Suzani comes from the Persian word for "needle" and in Central Asia, a bride gives her Suzani to her groom on her wedding day as one of her wedding gifts.
