Tahiti is the largest island in the Windward Islands of French Polynesia, located in the South Pacific. The mother-of-pearl oyster for Tahitian pearls is a precious black-lipped oyster that secretes black nacre. It has extremely stringent requirements for seawater and a very long formation process. For every 100 black-lipped oysters seeded, only 50 successfully cultivate pearls, and among them, only 5 are flawless. Therefore, each Tahitian black pearl is exceptionally precious.
