A single earring connecting earth-toned, silvered Roman glass, abundant labradorite & moss agate, citrine & tourmaline, and ethnic bells. Roman glass is glass from the Roman Empire era (27 BCE - 395 CE). These are polished fragments of what were once vessels, with holes drilled into them. "Silvering" occurs when glass is buried in the earth for many years, causing a chemical reaction between the glass and soil components, resulting in this sparkling iridescence. Not all glass buried for long periods develops this effect; it only appears when numerous conditions align. This piece has a wonderful, subdued earth-toned aesthetic! (Roman glass size: 1.7cm length, 1.3cm width) We've abundantly featured faceted labradorite and moss agate. Paired with rough-cut citrine and tourmaline. The small bells are components from the Kuchi tribe of Afghanistan, originally part of ornaments, and are vintage pieces. They do not make a sound.
