A Maori art figure. The figure is hand carved from wood and made in New Zealand. The figure is a Tiki/Teko Teko and is inset with beautiful paua shell eyes. The figure is free standing so does stand upright on its own. The Tiki is the Maori language for a carved human figure usually in wood. The Tiki/Teko Teko figure measures 7 in high Width 2.5 in Thickness 1.5 in The Tiki figure is beautifully carved with mouth detail. The figure has a carved hand and has lovely facial details with carved lines into his forehead. The figure has a label to the rear with the words "Hand Carved in ROTORUA, NZ.
