Wood-fired twisted clay teapot with golden handle / 280cc large capacity / Xiao Pingfan handmade - Teapots & Teacups - Pottery

Product Description

The work that came out of the kiln this time is so beautiful. I want to share this twisted clay firewood golden teapot with everyone❤️ This twisted clay and wood-fired teapot has casual yet methodical lines, and the alternating shades of texture are like the ups and downs of life, reminding us of Lao Tzu's thinking, that true perfection lies in imperfection. The ash from naturally occurring wood-fired celadon bears the marks of time. The creative process often requires the courage to "know it is impossible but still do it," a kind of silent power hidden in the ordinary. The simple body of the pot resembles a still stream, representing the depth and tranquility of life. The falling ash and every trace of burning wood are the marks of life, a fusion of fire and earth. I held this teapot for a long time and couldn't let it go. I felt calm and at peace in it. I felt that every cup of tea was infused with not only fragrance, but also an attitude of reconciliation with life. Capacity: 280cc Xiao Pingfan Pottery Studio's creations are not mass-produced. Each piece is uniquely designed and inspired, brought to life through the hand-kneading or throwing process. Each piece is truly one-of-a-kind. Our works are created by our husband and wife, hence the signatures "Ping" or "Fan." Larger pieces are stamped "Xiao Pingfan Pottery Studio," making them truly unique! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51567264550_68d52fdae8_b.jpg **1. What is the origin of the work?** We mostly use American soil, Japanese soil, and Taiwanese Miaoli soil for our creations. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51565549867_2d00e9c5fb_b.jpg **2. What is the wood-fired process?** American clay, Japanese clay, and Miaoli clay are mixed in different proportions. The production process is purely hand-kneading (not a clay pulling machine) to slowly shape the clay. After the basic shape is formed, the lines of the clay are trimmed, and then polished to complete the initial clay. After entering the kiln, it undergoes a continuous fire process using natural longan wood and acacia wood for five days and four nights, raising the temperature to over 1,200 degrees. During this period, natural ash will adhere to the work, forming a special ash glaze; at the same time, the fire marks in the kiln will also flow between the works, forming beautiful orange-red or blue-purple fire mark traces. After five days and four nights of falling ash and intertwining flames, it takes another week for the temperature to cool down before the beautiful work is finally formed! Each piece is unique! The high temperature of the traditional wood-fired method imparts a far-infrared effect, making it perfect for brewing tea! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51566330016_d46035182e_b.jpg **3. What should VIPs pay attention to?** The color of the product may vary slightly due to the light source of the photography. The work is purely handmade and will definitely leave traces of the texture of the work. The work may also have slight differences due to the firing process. It is normal for the rim to be crooked or there to be some scratches during the production. It can definitely be used normally. Please understand!
