Koishiwarayaki Koishiwarayaki medium-sized dish curry dish salad bowl - Plates & Trays - Pottery Blue

Product Description

Shuzangama Kiln's new attempt. Different from "SHUZAN BLUE," which is synonymous with Shuuzangama-yaki, the plates are decorated with white glaze and blue-green glaze with beautiful gradation. Furthermore, the plates decorated with Koishiwara-yaki's traditional techniques of "hibiki-kanna" and "kushime" have a casual yet elegant atmosphere. This medium-sized dish is easy to use in both quantity and size. It is deep enough to be used not only as a salad bowl, but also for simmered dishes, curry, and a bowl for oden, making it a tableware that can be used every day. The glaze is an original recipe left by Shuji I. The blue ware was fired in the last years of the founder's life, using only the original Koishiwara clay. Shigenobu II and Takeshi III have taken this original recipe and added various expressions to the dishes. We are working on the expression of various indigo colors, such as space patterns, ring patterns, and oceanic patterns. Please note that the actual colors may differ from the pictures shown here due to the convenience of monitors. There may be a dent of about 1mm called "pinhole". Pinholes are a phenomenon unique to ceramics and are not defective.
