India and Pakistan have been fighting for this beautiful territory for many years. Although they have suffered from the war, they can't stop such a spiritual environment, nurturing picturesque beauty and handicrafts that have been passed down for thousands of years.

As Kashmir is geographically closed and difficult to contact with the outside world, the people have developed self-reliant handicraft techniques since ancient times in order to sell them abroad to increase their income. So far, most Kashmiris still have textile machines in their homes, which is why Kashmiris are skilled craftsmen regardless of men and women.

This knitting technique is called "Chain Stitch", and as the name suggests, the needle and thread track of the embroidery is like a chain. The wool thread is embroidered on various items in a looping and passing way.

Every color on the product that we see is usually made by the weaver according to what color it needs, and then use natural dyes one by one. So occasionally, the handwork with the same pattern and slightly different color appears. Each finished product looks like one. Surprise!
Before sewing, the dyed wool thread must be exposed to the sun for 3 days before it can start to work. This process is time-consuming and labor-intensive and makes it even more unique.
