In the early Qing Dynasty, Wu Meiding's "Yangxian Tea Pot Fu" praised: "There is a square bandit, and the shape is different. The text is not passed, the fu is difficult to be." The purple sand pot is also the protagonist of tea affairs; Widely acclaimed, since then, in the historical chapter of Chinese tea, there is no newcomer to look forward to.
Under the influence of global historical trends, the brand story of the dazzling image of blue and white porcelain, white ground and blue flowers swept the world in the 17th century is familiar to everyone. However, another ceramic category that emerged at about the same time, "zisha", was simple and low-key, but powerfully shaped the classics of the world's tea ware; its influence has not received the full attention of the world until today. Therefore, we planned the special exhibition "A Tour of Zisha-Focus on Taiwan". The main purpose of this exhibition is not the Zisha ware produced in Yixing, Jiangsu, but the image of Zisha that has been roaming around the world for 400 years.
Content-
The "zisha" we now define refers to a category of Chinese ceramics. Among them, Yixing's Yixing teapots are well-known for their good fetal mud characteristics, special mud forming techniques and tea suitability. Yixing Zisha mud is also known as "mud in the mud", which is one of the few muds that can be made by itself without adding anything else. "Purple Clay" does not specifically refer to a certain color, but a general term for various colored clays, mainly purple clay, as well as red clay and green clay. This exhibition regards "zisha" as a category of ceramic production, with the Zisha teapots produced in Yixing as an important indicator, but in a broad sense, it is sometimes referred to as the use of local clay to imitate Yixing Zisha's works.
