Hand-woven Linen Shawl (Oribana 01) Material: 100% Linen Size: Approx. 58cm x 190cm (excluding 10cm fringe) This large 100% linen shawl features a base of fine unbleached linen, with patterns woven using soft, high-quality French linen. It has the characteristic elegant drape of linen, without being stiff or scratchy, and fits comfortably against the body. Using two melange colors—brown and charcoal brown—which are "top-dyed" (dyed at the fiber stage of linen production), we have woven them to create a beautiful color gradation. To keep the overall design light, about one-third of the width features a simple pattern, with brown lines accenting both ends. This design offers various looks depending on how you wrap it. As a characteristic of natural fibers, linen may have some small neps (fiber knots). However, since we use high-quality fine-count linen, there is minimal fuzzing and a characteristic natural luster. Linen is superior to cotton in water absorption, moisture wicking, and quick-drying properties.
