Yoga Nidra comes from ancient yoga wisdom. This guided meditation practice allows you to enter "conscious sleep" and let the life energy Prana in your body guide your consciousness to transform and penetrate, connect with your original self, and feel your complete self. The course will first relax your body through Yin yoga, then practice yoga Nidra in a lying position, and enter a meditative state through guidance.
▎**What is Yoga Nidra?**
Sleep yoga can be considered a guided meditation. Practitioners lie or sit comfortably, and with the guidance of the instructor, their consciousness gradually changes from the awake main consciousness (brain waves in Beta Wave) to the subconscious state of half-awake and half-asleep (brain waves in Alpha Wave), gradually entering the unconscious state of deep sleep (brain waves in Theta Wave), and even to the superconscious stage (brain waves in Delta Wave). Different states of consciousness will guide the body to repair and integrate at different levels, including hormone secretion, stress release, emotional healing, etc.
From the perspective of Eastern psychology, when the mind is active, the consciousness controls the movement of the breath (life energy Prana) in the body, just like when we focus our attention on our fingertips, we will feel some tingling and numbness. When the mind is at rest, Prana will cleanse and repair the physical body and various energy bodies layer by layer, leading the consciousness back to the root to rest.
▎**What is the difference between Yoga Nidra and Sleep Yoga?**
The purpose of Yoga Sleep is not to help you sleep, but to transform and enhance you on the spiritual level, by relaxing your body and mind to enter a meditative state. However, since the practice involves consciously relaxing various parts of the body and using breathing techniques to regulate the flow of air in the body, many people often feel like they have "experienced a deep rest and their bodies are fully recharged" after the practice.
