In the 1960s, various Made in Hong Kong products not only permeated our lives, but were also widely marketed overseas.
The brochure published in 1961 for the "Hong Kong Chinese Industrial Products Exhibition" (Hong Kong Industrial Fair), which was jointly organized by local Chinese enterprises, displayed promotional advertisements of manufacturers and industrial products from various industries at that time. In addition to the diverse styles of products, they were also exported to different regions/countries such as Southeast Asia, Europe and the United States.
Although these advertisements, which are more than 60 years old, come from an era when product photography was not yet popular, most of them still use hand-drawn illustrations and artistic fonts to highlight the creativity and characteristics of the products. In addition to reflecting the aesthetic design characteristics of the time, they also illustrate the history of different types of factories that were once distributed in various communities in Hong Kong.
