During the Edo period in Japan, Yoshiwara was a thriving legal brothel area, and was even often used as a setting for movies, novels, and paintings. Designer Yayoi Okano, who was born and raised in Yoshiwara, designed a series of souvenirs and founded the brand Shin Yoshiwara. Shin means New, and hopes to pass on the cultural essence of Yoshiwara with fashionable new designs.
This pair of black and white lucky cats is the work of Yayoi Okano. Yayoi Okano is also a cat lover, so she designed this pure white cat to commemorate the third anniversary of the store's opening.
This is a pair of sexy lucky cats. "Wu Gu" is a pure white cat, and "Lv Se" is a black cat with golden eyes. Both cats have the store's logo on their butts.
