European leather typically has fewer scars and blemishes, offering superior quality and generally higher prices compared to American leather. • Genuine leather, like human skin, may naturally have minor scars or growth lines. We strive to avoid these during production. │ Leather Characteristics │ • Natural variations in color depth between batches are normal. Vegetable-tanned leather darkens with use, developing a richer caramel hue over time. • Like human skin, natural leather has pores. It will absorb moisture upon contact with water, and faint watermarks may appear after air-drying, which is a natural occurrence. The product is treated with maintenance oil upon completion to minimize water absorption and staining. • Avoid prolonged soaking of the leather. If it accidentally gets wet, allow it to air dry in a ventilated area, away from direct sunlight. • Light stains can be gently wiped with a clean cotton cloth. Deep oil stains are difficult to remove and will gradually become less noticeable over time; therefore, handle with care and embrace the natural patina! │ Leather Dyeing │ • This series retains the unique look of hand-dyed brushstrokes. Through careful color testing, we achieve our most satisfying shades and ratios, ensuring each piece is one-of-a-kind. • Dyed leather will not easily fade with light friction, but the natural characteristic of vegetable-tanned cowhide means the color saturation may decrease over time. • Undyed leather is close to beige and will deepen in color and show marks based on individual use and habits, like a diary recording our life stories. │ Leather Care │ • Frequent use is the best form of care, allowing the natural oils from your hands to nourish the leather. If the edges feel dry, you can apply leather conditioning oil. • When storing, keep in a dry place.
