This teapot is carefully crafted on a potter's wheel using coarse Shigaraki clay containing feldspar. Due to high-temperature firing, the stones within the clay melt and emerge on the surface. Small indentations on the lid and body are a result of these stones melting during firing. Lines are added to the lid and around the body for accent. The inside is glazed, and fine tea strainer holes are created. Each lid is fitted to its individual pot, ensuring a snug and perfect match. It pours easily and drains exceptionally well. Finished with care, drawing on experience from learning the Ogawa-ryu sencha ceremony. Its calm presence makes it suitable for a wide range of uses, from daily life to entertaining guests. You can also enjoy how its depth increases with use.
