The fabric supplier, after much persuasion, revealed this sample from their private collection, and we instantly fell in love. The owner shared that this is a custom-designed plaid fabric for a brand, not available on the open market. They generously shared two rolls from their own order with us – a delightful surprise! It's already December, and Taiwan and Hong Kong must be feeling the winter chill. Addressing the thickness of clothing is crucial. We tested various methods, finding standard interfacing too thin and oil-coated interfacing too stiff. Ultimately, we chose flame bonding, a technique that seamlessly fuses the face fabric with the interfacing using flame. This method ensures sufficient thickness for warmth without sacrificing a comfortable feel, making it suitable for temperatures between 0 to 10 degrees Celsius. This design features a classic lapel collar, embodying a traditional and vintage aesthetic. The 0.6 cm precision stitching around the collar adds a refined touch. The buttons are crafted from a faux leather mushroom shape, carefully color-matched and finished with a matte treatment. These buttons require custom orders and are hand-sewn, a time-consuming process that adds to the craftsmanship. The flap pockets on both sides enhance the garment's dimension. The cuffs are designed with functional slits and adorned with three mushroom buttons, allowing them to be unfastened for a rolled-up look.
