Shino yunomi

This wheel thrown yunomi was made in my small pottery workshop here in Taiwan. My workshop over looks the Yamingshan mountain which are a constant source of inspiration. This pot was made from local Taiwanese clay and then a traditional Japanese glaze called shino was applied. A shino is typically a warm orange/white color. While the clay was still wet I used a metal tool to create some lines of interest. I believe handmade pot should see evidence of the hand involved. My seal is stamped at the base of this yunomi.
