These are earrings crafted by connecting Dawk Rak Karen silver and indigo blue antique beads.
The part at the top, curled like a bud, is Karen silver.
It is inspired by the flower called Dawk Rak, which is used in "Phuang Malai" (flower garlands) seen at temples and celebrations in Thailand.
Dawk Rak is also called the "flower of love." In English, it's known as the "crown flower."
It is said to also be used as a herb and in traditional medicine.
The double helix rings are also Karen silver.
◇Karen Silver◇
This is silver made by the hill tribe people living in the mountains of Thailand and Burma.
Each piece is handmade, and it is said to have a very high purity.
(Size of Dawk Rak Karen silver: 1.4cm height, 1.3cm width)
The French hooks are made of silver925.
The flower-shaped parts at the top are also silver.
The indigo blue beads at the bottom are antique beads called Indo-Pacific beads. The origin of Indo-Pacific beads dates back to the 2nd century BC. These beads are excavated items from Indonesia. Their era is none other than around the 10th century, making them over 1000 years old!
These are slightly voluminous earrings that evoke a sense of special occasions.
