Taiwanese Zelkova & Amethyst Necklace: Blade of Wisdom

This necklace features Taiwanese Zelkova wood, intricately carved and inlaid with amethyst. It intentionally preserves some of the wood's natural contours and subtle depressions. The amethyst is first delicately wrapped in silver before being carefully adhered to the wooden element. ------ Wood Material: Taiwanese Zelkova Wood Piece Dimensions: Approx. 4 x 2 x 0.9cm (at its thickest point, excluding the main stone) Main Stone: Amethyst Bead Material: Purple Heart wood, Olive wood (clasp bead) Accents: Hand-braided waxed cord necklace (with bead clasp) Necklace Length: 49.5cm (excluding clasp) Finish: Tung oil, Osmo wood wax ----- ※ Wood Jewelry Care and Precautions ※ ◆ If the piece gets wet, gently pat it dry or allow it to air dry. Avoid exposing it to moisture or direct sunlight for extended periods. Please remove before showering or visiting hot springs, and do not submerge in water for long durations. ◆ Avoid prolonged exposure to high temperatures or direct sunlight (e.g., inside a car). However, wearing it for a stroll on a sunny day is perfectly fine! ◆ Unless otherwise specified, all pieces are finished with natural coatings. This approach best preserves the wood's natural color and grain, offering the most eco-friendly finish. Natural finishes may fade subtly over time; reapplication is possible if needed. ◆ This piece is finished with tung oil, a natural seed oil. If you have a history of allergies or concerns, consulting a doctor is advised. ◆ All dimensions are measured by hand, and slight variations are to be expected. ------ About the Wood: While the pieces are crafted for normal use and wear, please refrain from intentionally bending or dropping them, as this can still cause damage to the wood. Wood grain and color are natural phenomena, and slight color variations may occur due to screen and camera differences. About the Carving: All carvings are meticulously hand-done by me using non-powered tools and fine sandpaper. Each piece is crafted stroke by stroke, and the marks left by the tools are an intrinsic characteristic of this style of carving. Please appreciate these marks as an integral part of the artwork!
