Pottery Care Instructions |
As the vessels are used daily, they gradually develop unique characteristics. To ensure longevity, please keep the following in mind:
. Not suitable for direct flame. Do not use in ovens or microwaves.
. It is recommended to soak the vessel thoroughly in water before use, then wipe dry before serving food. This helps prevent absorption of liquids and oils.
. Please wash and dry the tableware as soon as possible after use.
. We recommend using a soft sponge and a neutral detergent for cleaning.
. If using a dishwasher or dish dryer, please place the items securely to prevent them from colliding due to vibrations during operation.
. Fine cracks may appear on the surface after use; this is called "craquelure" or "kintsugi," a normal variation in the glaze.
. For first-time use, prepare a pot of rice water. Line the bottom of the pot with a paper towel, place the vessel in the pot, and submerge it completely. Simmer for twenty minutes over low heat, then let it cool. The starch from the rice will fill the pores of the pottery, preventing stains and odors in the future. This process can be repeated after a period of use.

Mountain Dwelling | Earthenware Vessels
For us, a good day is often summed up by a satisfying meal. We enjoy ending the day by serving food in a beautiful vessel, brewing a cup of tea, or warming some sake on a cold evening. Over time, these vessels add a touch of delight to our lives, becoming indispensable.
Observing the vessels we used in daily life sparked the idea: "Why don't we try making pottery ourselves?"
The pottery we aim to create retains a simple, earthy aesthetic. It has just the right weight to feel warm in your hands. Our lifestyle is reflected in our vessels. We love brewing tea with a familiar teapot stained with tea marks, using a white teacup repeatedly until it develops cracks filled with tea color, pairing a light beige plate with vibrant green stir-fried vegetables, using a matte black bowl to make rice appear more lustrous, and serving the perfect portion of dessert in a mountain-shaped bowl.
Find your perfect vessel here—one that will accompany you daily and last for a long time.
