This collection was advertised by Monet in 1955 Christmas collection. The advertisement is shown in Alice Vega book «Monet. The Master Jewelers».
The US Design patent 172,125 was issued on May 11, 1954 to Michael Chernow for “Link chain for a bracelet or similar article”.

The necklace is high-end piece of Monet's costume jewelry, it's of excellent quality and has nice weight in it.
The necklace is a chocker style and has adjustable length, that is characteristic for 1940-50’s era high-end jewelry.
