However, most require ironing to adhere to fabric and are used to decorate textiles or mend holes. Hi Friend's embroidered patches have a strong adhesive backing that requires no ironing. They can be applied to smooth, non-fabric surfaces, making them ideal as stickers for water bottles, phone cases, laptops, notebooks, pencil cases, helmets, luggage, and more! Let's create something unique with these patches! 🏷 How do I use embroidered patches? Using Hi Friend's embroidered patches is simple! ▪️ For smooth, non-fabric surfaces: Peel off the backing and stick. No ironing needed, and they stay put! ▪️ For fabric surfaces: Preheat your iron to 150°C. Place a cloth over the patch to protect the embroidery from direct heat and iron for 20-25 seconds. Allow it to cool completely to ensure a secure bond. For extra durability, reinforce with needle and thread. If you don't have an iron, sewing it on with a machine or by hand will also provide a strong attachment! 🏷 What if I can't iron or am unsure about ironing the fabric? For materials that cannot be ironed (e.g., down jackets, nylon, leather, waterproof fabrics) or if you're unsure, we recommend sewing the patch on with a sewing machine or by hand to secure it. This will prevent high temperatures from damaging your fabric. 🏷 How strong is the adhesive? Will it fall off easily? Hi Friend's embroidered patches have ample adhesive. They are unlikely to fall off when applied to general smooth, non-fabric surfaces. If applying to fabric (clothing, pants, hats, etc.), please iron and then sew for added durability. 🏷 Will the embroidered patches fall off if washed? Once ironed and reinforced with sewing, the embroidered patches can withstand machine washing without easily falling off. We suggest washing them inside out in a laundry bag. 🏷 Can embroidered patches be reapplied? The adhesive backing on our embroidered patches is designed for single use and cannot be reapplied. We recommend confirming the desired placement before applying. If you remove the patch and wish to reuse it, the embroidered fabric itself can still be sewn onto fabric for decoration. 🏷 Will there be residue after removing an embroidered patch? The strong adhesive may leave some residue upon removal. This can be cleaned with sticker removers or adhesive solvents. Please test the cleaner on a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure it doesn't damage your item's surface. Do not use a hairdryer to remove residue, as heat can melt the adhesive, making it stickier and harder to remove.
