Since its establishment in 2012, TAHRD has been dedicated to rescuing victims of wrongful convictions, helping to overturn miscarriages of justice, promoting systemic reforms, and supporting the wrongly accused and their families as they return to innocence and everyday life. Take a Snooze has always believed that scent is more than just a smell; it carries memories, emotions, and stories. Over the years, we've explored themes like women, animals, and Taiwanese culture through scent, addressing various social issues. While we cannot fully comprehend the feeling of losing one's freedom, it is precisely for this reason that we must not take freedom for granted. We imagined what scent time would leave behind when a person is forced to stay in place. The humid air, the coolness of concrete walls, soil, and rust create a slightly somber yet quiet space. The addition of Taiwanese cypress essential oil, grown in Miaoli and extracted using traditional methods, adds a touch of earthly warmth to the woody notes. The reserved woodiness of Taiwanese cypress intertwines with the grounding stability of vetiver. Absinthe lingers within, leaving a slightly bitter and restrained finish. It is not darkness, but rather a long, quiet wait – the world moves on, while some people's time is forcibly paused. Yet, there remains a belief that one day, they will be able to move forward again. "復 Still" is a calm, damp scent with earthy and woody undertones. Bitter orange and Bourbon geranium create a clear, green opening. White leaf rose offers a clean, light touch rather than intense sweetness, subtly hidden within; the scent of book pages adds a layer of quiet paper texture to the fragrance. Finally, guaiac wood and green musk conclude the overall aroma, leaving a soft, clean, yet not overly pristine finish.
