It quickly gained recognition, placing 9th in the 2013 Cup of Excellence and 7th in 2015. The Cyendajuru Producers Association, closely tied to Simbi, consists of around 150 members—75% of whom are women. This strong female presence reflects Rwanda’s history, where women sustained coffee production after the 1994 genocide.
