These bracelets often possess special shapes, colors, and textures, carrying symbolic meanings of Buddhist dharma and faith. The eighteen seeds also symbolize the Eighteen Arhats. The Eighteen Arhats refer to eighteen Arhats in Buddhist legend who remain in the world eternally to protect the Dharma. All were disciples of Shakyamuni Buddha, possessing great magical powers. Therefore, "Eighteen Bodhi Seeds" are considered the Bodhi seed bracelets with the best protective efficacy. Furthermore, the number "eighteen" in "Eighteen Seeds" refers to the "Eighteen Realms," a significant concept in Buddhist philosophy, encompassing the six senses, the six sense objects, and the six consciousnesses. The six senses are the six ways humans perceive: sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch, and mind. The six sense objects are the objects of perception: colors, sounds, smells, tastes, textures, and thoughts. The six consciousnesses are the resulting awareness: visual consciousness, auditory consciousness, olfactory consciousness, gustatory consciousness, tactile consciousness, and mental consciousness. "Eighteen Seeds" string these elements together, symbolizing the practitioner transcending the boundaries of senses and thoughts through mindfulness and meditation, achieving a higher level of enlightenment. ✦ Crystal Energy✦ ● White Crystal Heart Sutra White Crystal, also known as the "King of Crystals," is a synthesis of all light and colors. It represents balance and perfection, promotes health, and is powerful in clearing negative energy. It is one of the Seven Treasures of Buddhism. White Crystal can also bring peace and harmony to the mind, purify negative energies from the surroundings and the self, mend the body's energy field, restore vitality and strength to those with frequent illnesses or setbacks, and bring good fortune. The "Heart Sutra" (Prajñāpāramitā Hṛdaya Sūtra) was translated by Master Xuanzang from the essence of hundreds of volumes of the Tripitaka. It contains 260 characters. As it is the essence of all sutras, it is called the "Heart Sutra," metaphorically representing the heart of all sutras. ● White Jade Bodhi White Jade Bodhi is smooth and white, with a warm luster, suitable for wearing or handling during meditation. White Jade Bodhi comes from the seed of a plant called Shamu in India. When polished, the seed is as white as jade, with a strong oily sheen. Meaning 1. White Bodhi root symbolizes "enlightenment." Bodhi root is not a tree root but a seed from a Bipalm tree, a plant that flowers and fruits only once every few decades before ending its life cycle. Meaning 2. A bracelet of 108 White Bodhi roots is the most common count, signifying the attainment of 108 Samadhis and the severance of 108 types of afflictions, thereby leading to a state of tranquility for body and mind. There are various interpretations of the 108 afflictions. Generally, each of the six senses experiences pleasure, pain, and indifference, totaling 18; additionally, each of the six senses can be perceived as good, bad, or neutral, totaling another 18, making 36. When combined with the past, present, and future, these amount to 108 afflictions. Meaning 3. White Bodhi root, polished from Bodhi root, can be as white as snow or slightly pale yellow, pleasing to the eye. Wearing these beads aids in practice and can dispel calamities and reverse misfortune. ● Turquoise Turquoise, also known as Songshi, is named for its "shape resembling a pinecone and color close to pine green." Its English name, Turquoise, means "Turkish stone," but Turkey does not produce turquoise. Legend has it that turquoise from ancient Persia was transported to Europe through Turkey, hence its name. Before the Qing Dynasty in China, turquoise was called "Dianzi," and Europeans called it "Turkish Jade" or "Turkoman Jade." With its elegant and brilliant color, turquoise is a traditional gemstone cherished by people of all ages and nationalities, both past and present. Ancient Egyptians mined turquoise in the Sinai Peninsula. The pharaohs of the first dynasty dispatched well-organized labor forces of two to three thousand people, protected by soldiers, to search for and mine turquoise. It has been worn and used for over 5,000 years. Egyptians believed turquoise to be a symbol of divine power, and wearing turquoise ornaments could ward off evil and receive divine protection. Red Agate was also used medicinally in ancient times; Buddhists believed it possessed special healing properties, having positive effects on both physiology and psychology.
