Each pearl is naturally formed and undyed, retaining the unique cool-toned luster and high reflectivity of Akoya pearls. We specifically select pearls with the characteristic Tennyo blue iridescence layer, making them highly collectible and wearable.
As our factory produces pearls and manufactures jewelry in-house, all pearl sizes are produced in limited quantities.
Due to the time required for pearl harvesting, certain sizes may become temporarily unavailable if sold out or if harvesting is affected by seawater or cultivation conditions.
Consequently, some styles may experience temporary stock shortages.
Please inquire about availability before placing an order.
Our pearls, depending on the variety, originate from two major production areas, Japan and China. All processing and manufacturing are carried out by professional jewelry workshops in China, ensuring stable quality and exquisite craftsmanship to perfectly showcase the pearls' natural luster and charm.
🔹 Japanese Origin | Akoya Saltwater Pearls, Tennyo Pearls
Akoya pearls are the most representative type of saltwater pearls. They are primarily cultivated in areas like Mie, Kumamoto, and Ehime in Japan, with the Seto Inland Sea coast being particularly renowned. Akoya pearls are produced by the **Pinctada fucata** oyster. Due to the small size of the oyster, each shell can only produce one pearl, and it requires approximately 3 years of careful cultivation. Thus, production is relatively scarce, and quality and price are correspondingly high.
Akoya pearls are nucleated pearls with exceptionally high roundness and a cool, brilliant luster, earning them the nickname "little light bulbs" in the pearl world. They are highly favored in the high-end jewelry industry. The surface often exhibits a natural "orange peel" texture. Pearls of special selection grade (accompanied by a Japanese certificate) are nearly flawless with enhanced transparency and luster. Colors include various classifications such as Sakura pink, snow white, blue-pink, cool blue luster, aurora gold, and queen color. Additionally, there is the rare Tennyo color series, a variation of Akoya with a natural purplish-pink iridescence, highly sought after by collectors.
🔹 Chinese Origin | Freshwater Cultured Pearls
China is the world's largest producer of freshwater pearls, with production concentrated in Zhejiang, Hunan, Jiangsu, and Anhui. Freshwater pearls are mainly cultivated from large mussels like the triangle sail mussel. A single mussel can produce dozens of pearls simultaneously, resulting in a much higher yield than saltwater pearls. In the past decade, with significant advancements in cultivation technology and selection standards, high-quality freshwater pearls have begun to approach Akoya levels in terms of roundness, nacre thickness, and luster.
Although nucleated, top-grade freshwater pearls can achieve near-perfect roundness, a warm and translucent luster, and strong surface glow, all at a more accessible price point. They are an excellent value choice for everyday wear and designer jewelry.
Regardless of whether you choose Akoya saltwater pearls or Chinese freshwater pearls, all items are manufactured in our Chinese processing workshops, ensuring that every piece meets jewelry-grade standards from raw materials to craftsmanship details, adding elegant quality to your daily life.
