These are SDGs jewelry pieces featuring Kintsugi, upcycled from Arita porcelain.
We repurpose broken or chipped ceramic ware that would otherwise be discarded, and meticulously adorn them with Kintsugi to transform them into exquisite accessories.
Our creative concept is to allow you to feel a connection to nature and Japan's enduring traditions, by reimagining these materials into modern accessories that bridge the past and future, fostering new possibilities.
We have paired elegant ceramic fragments, subtly revealing hints of yellow and pink floral patterns, with gold-toned components.
They sway gently with your movement, exuding an understated grace.
The Kintsugi technique is applied to the sides of the ceramic pieces, allowing the gold to gleam from every angle and enhancing their refined aesthetic.
These are perfect as a distinctive accent to elevate both casual and elegant ensembles.
Length: Ceramic fragment 14 x 12mm, Total length: 45mm
Metal Fittings: Surgical stainless steel earrings (Metal fittings cannot be changed)
Weight: Despite being ceramic, they are lightweight and comfortable to wear.
As each piece is a unique, one-of-a-kind creation, it makes for an ideal gift. Please consider them for a cherished present.
*As these are finished, one-of-a-kind items, we are unable to accommodate requests for changes to the metal fittings or for remake orders. We also do not accept custom orders for variations using similar ceramic fragments.
*We will ship the item pictured. However, if it has been sold on another platform, it may be made to order. In such cases, please note that there may be individual differences in the color, pattern, and size of the ceramic fragments and natural stones compared to the product photos.
*"Kintsugi" is a traditional Japanese repair method that uses lacquer and gold powder to mend broken or chipped ceramics. This piece employs a modern, simplified Kintsugi technique. Unlike traditional Kintsugi, which uses natural urushi lacquer, this method uses adhesive for structural integrity.
The Kintsugi areas are created using lacquer (a commercially produced paint, not raw urushi) and gold powder (brass powder, pearl powder), with UV resin also incorporated for reinforcement.
